U.S. stocks retreat amid earnings, falling oil

U.S. stocks ended sharply lower Tuesday as investors digested quarterly earnings reports amid declining oil prices.

The Dow fell 0.78 percent, and the S&P 500 lost 0.87 percent, while the Nasdaq dipped 1.13 percent. Endit
