4 killed in crude bomb blast in eastern India

Four persons were killed and four others injured while allegedly making crude bombs in a house at Jaunpur in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal early Monday, said police.

The incident occurred when bombs were being made in the house of one Giasu Seikh in the area bordering Bangladesh, Superintendent of Police Syed Waqar Raza told the media.

Three persons died on the spot and four others were seriously injured. Local hooligans were allegedly involved in the incident.

West Bengal has been holding a local legislative election since April and the last phase of the polls will be held May 5. Endit
