Shanghai climbs to second on CWSL table

Shanghai defeated Jiangsu 4-2 in the 4th round of the Chinese Women's Super League (CWSL) on Sunday, climbing to the second place on the table, one point adirft from leader Dalian.

Zhang Jieli broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute for team Shanghai, but Su Fei made the equalizer in the 43rd minute through a penalty. Before the interval, Tang Jiali broke Jiangsu's defense in the penalty, helping Shanghai retake the lead 2-1.

Shanghai enlarged its advantages in the 56th with Liu Jun's close-range shot. Jiangsu's Wu Dengshu made two goals later, including an own goal.

On Saturday, Dalian tied Changchun 1-1 to keep its lead in the league.

In the other two games played on Sunday, Tianjin and Shandong respectively edged Beijing and Chinese Army 1-0. Shanghai is one point behind it. Endit
