Swiss Bacsinszky claims WTA Morocco GP title

Swiss Timea Bacsinszky, 15th in the WTA rankings, won Morocco Grand Prix de SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem on Saturday, beating New Zealand top tennis player Marina Erakovic 6-2, 6-1 in the final.

Qualifier Erakovic, ranking 186th, struggled to contend against Bacsinszky who wrapped up her victory in just 67 minutes.

The 26-year-old Bacsinszky lost only just one set in the five matches on her way to secure her first WTA title on clay and her fourth career title. Enditem
