Giant rubber duck calls on Macao

World's largest inflatable rubber duck, which captured the hearts of people across the world greeted Macao on Friday, and will be displayed at sea between Macao Science Center and Kun Iam Ecumenical Center until May 27.

The whole city was cheered up by the visit of this "enormous yellow duck", and flocked to catch a glimpse of it.

The rubber duck, designed by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, has been touring around the world since 2007, and made appearances at several Chinese cities like Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.

A lady surnamed Chui said that she was excited to watch and take photos with this 18-meter-tall yellow duck so near, which reminded her of the sweet days in childhood.

The organizer Macao Culture Creativity & Arts Association hoped that the event not only enhance the tourist appeal of Macao but also inspire the creation of locals as well as promote the cultural creative industry here.

Various events like exhibition, coloring program, outdoor games will be held every weekends encouraging people to join in on the fun here. Endit
