-- Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has briefed Ambassadors accredited to Ethiopia on the latest fatal incidents in the regional state of Gambella, indicating ongoing investigation to address the situation.
The causes of kidnapped children in Gambella and the recent clash in Jawe refugee camp is under investigation, said Ethiopian State Minister Taye Atske-Selassie during the briefing.

-- The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) says the construction of the road linking Kenya to Ethiopia will be completed soon.
According to the authority, the road covers 121 kilometers from Merille to Marsabit and 122 kilometers from Turbi to Moyale. It pointed out that the sections form part of the strategic transport corridor linking Mombasa Port to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)
-- Sri Lanka has announced that it will establish a diplomatic mission in Ethiopia, Colombopage reported.
The mission will be established in Addis Ababa where the Headquarters of the African Union is situated, it added.
Sri Lanka's Minister of Foreign Affairs Mangala Samaraweera proposed the establishment of the new embassy with the view of broadening trade and economic relations with Ethiopia, the country with the largest economy in the region and to build a close relationship with countries of the African Union.
