Venezuela's press highlighted on Wednesday the victory of Deportivo Tachira against the Mexican club UNAM Pumas in the first leg of Round of 16 of 2016 Copa Libertadores.

The game between Deportivo Tachira and UNAM Pumas was played on Tuesday in Polideportivo Pueblo Nuevo Stadium, in San Cristobal, Venezuela.

Local sports daily Lider highlighted the goal scored by Colombian Yuber Mosquera at minute 50.

Meridiano, another local daily, said Deportivo Tachira had the opportunity to score a second goal but forward Jose Miguel Reyes failed a shot.

The return game will be held on May 3 in Mexico City. The winner of the series will qualify to quarter finals and face Argentina's River Plate or Ecuador's Independiente del Valle. Enditem
