Mine blast injures 2 foreign tourists, 1 interpreter in Myanmar's northern state

Two Dutch tourists and one interpreter were injured in a mine blast in Kyaukme, Myanmar's northern Shan state, official media reported Wednesday.

The incident happened at Tawpe village in Kyaukme township on Tuesday.

The injured were taken to Mandalay People's Hospital for treatment.

Kyaukme is a place where armed conflicts erupted in February between ethnic armed groups, displacing 4,200 people in the township and surrounding villages. Endit
