Top graft-buster lectures inspectors during training

Xinhua, April 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

China's top graft-buster Wang Qishan has urged disciplinary inspectors to be alert to spot violations.

Speaking at a recent five-day training session for inspectors, Wang, secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI), said tough enforcement of Party codes of conduct is needed to back up CPC promises to crack down on corruption.

Inspectors should check particularly whether frugality rules are being observed, said Wang, according to CCDI statement that did not specify when the training took place.

He warned inspectors they will be held to account for dereliction of duty.

In the past two years, the CCDI has increased its number of inspection teams from seven to 47, covering 139 central Party and government agencies. Endi
