CPC senior official attends International Conference of Asian Political Parties

The 26th meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties(ICAPP) standing committee (SC) ended here Sunday, discussing the activities and future of the ICAPP.

Chen Fengxiang, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), deliver a speech at the conference as the representative of CPC.

More than 40 political parties and organizations from more than 30 countries participated in the three-day meeting as well as the first ever tripatie talk among Asian, African and Latin American political parties.

According to a document released on the official website of ICAPP, the participants reviewed the activities since the 25th SC meeting held last October in Beijing, and discussed about the future development of ICAPP.

ICAPP was launched in Manila, Philippines in 2000, with an aim to promote exchange and cooperation between Asian political parties.

Chen arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday. During his five-day visit, the Chinese official also met with some leaders of Indonesian political parties. Endit
