Xinhua, April 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

South African President Jacob Zuma will arrive in Iran's capital Tehran on Saturday for talks on economic ties, official IRNA news agency reported on Friday.

Heading a high-ranking eco-political delegation, the South African president is to visit Tehran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani.

During Zuma's meeting with Rouhani, several economic documents will be signed by the two sides.

The South African president is also scheduled to visit the historic Iranian province of Isfahan on Monday.

South Africa is at the forefront of the African states enhancing ties with Iran, following a landmark international deal signed on its nuclear program last year. Endit
