Rockets narrowly beat Warriors 97-96

Xinhua, April 22, 2016 Adjust font size:

Thanks to James Harden's jumper with just over 2 seconds left and the absence of the Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry, the Houston Rockets narrowly beat the visitors 97-96 at the Toyota Center Thursday night to cut their deficit to 2-1 in the best-of-seven NBA playoff series.

The Rockets entered the game with a great pressure as they had lost the previous two games against the Warriors, and the absence of the injured Curry gave them the chance to outscore the Warrors.

The Rockets led the first half 55-48, but did not perform as good as what they should be. It was Harden who saved the Rockets at the last minute.

For his 12th career playoff game with at least 30 points, Harden scored 35 points with eight rebounds and nine assists, Donatas Motiejunas and Dwight Howard added 14 points and 13 points respectively.

For the Warrors, Marreese Speights had 22 points and his teammate Klay Thompson scored 17 points. Enditem
