Chadian opposition parties threaten to form national salvation government

The candidates of some opposition parties in the Chadian presidential election held on April 10 threatened to form a "national salvation government" if the Independent National Electoral Commission (CENI) declares the victory of outgoing President Idriss Deby.
According to document released on Wednesday by Mahamat Ahmat Allabo, leader and candidate of Liberal and Democratic Party, the candidates warned the CENI and Constitutional Council against any attemp to validate the result of the fraud election, and decided not to recognize the result of the fraud election.
The document said the candidates will take historical responsibility if necessary to put in place a national salvation government to meet the aspiration of the Chadian people.
The main opposition candidates Saleh Kebzabo and former prime minister Joseph Djimrangar Dadnadji are among the 8 candidates who signed in the document.
10 days after the election, the result is still not announced. The President of CENI Royoumbaye Nadoumngar on Tuesday night assured the provisional result will be released in 15 days after the election, this is based on the electoral code. Enditem
