Singapore condemns bus bombing in Jerusalem

Xinhua, April 19, 2016 Adjust font size:

Singapore on Tuesday condemned the bus bombing in Jerusalem which has injured at least 21 people Monday afternoon.

"We wish the injured a speedy recovery (to those injured). We are confident that the authorities will bring those responsible for this act of terror to justice swiftly," the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

Israeli police has confirmed the incident as a terror attack. Investigators at the scene concluded that a small explosive device went off at the back of a bus in southern Jerusalem, the bus caught fire and spread to a nearby bus and another vehicle.

However, no one so far has claimed responsibility of the attack, which came a week after Hamas urged its members in the West Bank to renew bombing strikes against the Israelis. Enditem
