JAKARTA -- Landslides and floods in West Papua of eastern Indonesia have left 6 people missing and road damaged, senior official of national disaster management agency said here on Monday.

Heavy downpours had triggered landslides and flooding in Minyambouw sub-district of Pegunungan Arfak district at 4:00 p.m. local time on Sunday, Spokesman of National Disaster Management Agency Sutopo Purwo Nugroho told Xinhua by phone. (Indonesia-Landslides)

ROME -- Six migrants were found dead and dozens were feared missing at sea after the Italian coastal guard launched an operation to save people following the capsizing of a boat with 400 migrants off the coast of Libya late on Sunday, local media said on Monday.

Coastal guard sources quoted by ANSA news agency said a difficult search and rescue operation carried out some 20 miles off Libya amid strong winds and waves saved 108 people, including a few women, from a boat headed towards Italy. (Italy-Migrants-Missing)

MANAMA -- Bahrain police said it had arrested a number of suspects in connection with a petrol bomb attack on Saturday, in which a policeman was killed and two others injured.

AMMAN -- Jordan on Monday recalled its ambassador to Iran for consultations over what it described as Tehran's interference in Arab affairs, the state-run Petra news agency reported.
