Unidentified people assault office of Macedonian president

Xinhua, April 18, 2016 Adjust font size:

The communication office of the Macedonian President, Gjorge Ivanov, in Tetovo, was attacked by unknown people on Monday, Internal Affairs spokesperson Marjan Josifovski said.

According to Josifovski, the incident took place early Monday morning.

"Unknown assailants using bricks and concrete blocks forcefully demolished the windows and the entrance door of president's office on Boris Kidric street in Tetovo and pelted it with eggs as well," he said.

An investigation by the public prosecutor has been carried out and damages were photo-documented by the police forces, who are working to discover the perpetrators.

Last week in Macedonia, protesters stormed the public office of the Macedonian president in downtown Skopje, showing their anger because of the decision of Ivanov to pardon and abolish all criminal persecution against 56 government and opposition politicians under investigation of alleged corruption and other criminal acts.
