Party journal stresses study of Marxist values, improvement of governance

Xinhua, April 16, 2016 Adjust font size:

Qiushi Journal, the flagship magazine of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, has encouraged CPC members to study Marxist values and sharpen their governance capacity.

In a commentary under the byline "Qiushi," the journal called on CPC members to follow the example of members of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, who continuously study Marxist values, update their knowledge about current economic and social issues and apply them to their daily work.

Continuous study of Marxism will equip officials with firm faith and the correct political stance and enable them to make the right decisions, the article wrote.

In today's fast-changing world, flooded with information, it is also critical for CPC members to update their knowledge of modern science, technology and humanities, so that the CPC as a whole can sharpen its capacity of governance and lead the country through challenges, it wrote.

The article stressed that through intensive study, CPC members will be able to identify with major guidelines and policies issued by the leadership.

The CPC has launched a year-long campaign to instill rules and good values in Party members, consolidating their Marxist positions and ensuring that the entire Party maintains a high degree of ideological and political consistency with the CPC Central Committee. Endi
