Five people have been arrested in Birmingham and at Gatwick Airport on suspicion of terror activities, West Midlands Police confirmed Friday.

The five people, all from Birmingham, have been arrested "on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism," West Midlands Police said in a statement.

Four people, including three men aged 26, 40 and 59 respectively and a 29-year-old woman, were arrested in Birmingham on Thursday night. A 26-year-old man was arrested at Gatwick Airport in the early hours of Friday, police said. Enditem
