Chinese premier congratulates Jeenbekov on approval as Kyrgyz PM

Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Friday congratulated Sooronbai Jeenbekov on being approved by the Kyrgyz parliament as the country's prime minister.

Li, in a congratulatory message, highly commented on the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations and positive achievements in cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

He said China is ready to make efforts with Kyrgyzstan to jointly promote China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation toward achievement of new successes in the interest of the two peoples.

Kyrgyzstan's parliament on Wednesday unanimously endorsed a new government led by Jeenbekov after former Prime Minister Temir Sariyev resigned on Monday amid corruption allegations. Endi
