Senior CPC official meets Portuguese guest

China is willing to enhance cooperation with Portugal through exchange between political parties, a senior Chinese official said here Thursday.

Guo Jinlong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, made the remarks when meeting with Jose Matos Rosa, secretary-general of the Social Democratic Party (PSD) of Portugal.

Guo mentioned the deepening of mutual political trust and the continuing development of economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

He said the CPC attaches great importance to the relationship with the PSD.

Rosa said the PSD is ready to develop relations with the CPC and forge ahead bilateral ties in the fields including politics, economy, culture and education. Endi
