U.S. stocks tick up on surging oil

U.S. stocks rallied on Tuesday, helped by solid gains in oil prices, as investors awaited the first batch of earnings from the first quarter of the year.

The Dow rose 0.94 percent, and the S&P 500 jumped 0.97 percent, while the Nasdaq added 0.80 percent. Endit
