A Brazilian congressional commission recommended impeachment against President Dilma Rousseff in a vote on Monday.

LIMA -- Peru's presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori, of the right-of-center Popular Force party, consolidated her lead on Monday over rivals in Sunday's general elections.

With 82.6 percent of the votes counted, the results showed Fujimori garnered 39.55 percent of the votes, giving her a wide 17-point lead over her closest rival, said the National Office of Electoral Processes. (Peru-Elections-Fujimori)

ANKARA -- Four Turkish people were wounded on Monday when five rocket projectiles fired from Syria landed in the southeastern border province of Kilis, Anadolu news agency reported.

JERUSALEM -- Four Israelis were arrested in suspicion of carrying out security-related acts against Palestinians, the Israeli police said on Monday.
