No civilians or policemen were hurt when a police station in the southern Russian region of Stavropol was hit by three suicide bombings, local media said Monday.

Three suicide bombers detonated themselves earlier in the day in Novoselitsk district of the Stavropol region, RIA Novosti news agency quoted a law enforcement source as saying. (Russia-Suicide Bombings)

BISHKEK -- Kyrgyz Prime Minister Temir Sariyev on Monday tendered a verbal resignation over a road construction project scandal, the government press service confirmed to Xinhua.

KIEV -- Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseny Yatsenyuk on Sunday announced his resignation, paving the way for government dissolution amid the country's lingering political crisis.

Yatsenyuk pledged to submit his resignation to parliament on Tuesday. If the parliament accepts the resignation, the government will be subsequently dissolved. (Ukraine-PM-Resignation)

JALALABAD, Afghanistan -- Some 12 cadets were killed and 38 people were wounded after a suicide bomber targeted an army bus in Afghanistan's eastern province of Nangarhar on Monday, officials said.

"The bomber rammed a tricycle bomb to a mini-bus carrying military students at around 4:30 p.m. local time. The incident occurred in Sorkhroad Square in outskirts of provincial capital Jalalabad city," a security official told Xinhua anonymously. (Afghanistan-Suicide Bombing) Endi
