The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Monday:

-- Former President Thabo Mbeki has waded into the debate on the crisis facing SA in the wake of the Constitutional Court judgment that heavily criticized President Jacob Zuma for his failure to defend and uphold the country's supreme law.

Mbeki's voice adds to the growing of list of leaders and civic movement organizations that have called for a meaningful implementation of the outcomes of the March 31 judgment. But the African National Congress (ANC) has ignored calls for Mr.Zuma to resign.(Business Day).

-- The boycott and ostracizing of the Gupta family by the country's major financial institutions claimed their first victims this week.

In a sudden fight for survival, the Gupta family's JSE-listed company Oakbay Resources & Energy on Friday announced that its nonexecutive chairman, Atul Gupta, and chief executive, Varun Gupta, had resigned.(City Press).
