Pakistan says India fired shells into its territory

The Pakistani army said on Sunday that the Indian troops have fired shells into its side of the Line of Control (LoC) that separate the two countries in the disputed Kashmir region.
No one was hurt in the shelling that occurred after a lull of weeks on the LoC.
"Indian troops on the Line of Control resorted to heavy unprovoked firing and shelling in Neza Pir sector last night," an army statement said.
"Unprovoked firing which started at 2340 hrs last night lasted till 0445 hrs early morning," a statement from the inter-Services Public Relations said.
Pakistan and India declared ceasefire in 2003 and the guns had relatively been silent since then. However, both sides occasionally exchange fire.
The latest incident comes at a time when relations are tense since a group of gunmen attacked an Indian airbase in January.
India had blamed the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Muhammad group for the attack and has been demanding action against the group.
On its part, Pakistan has detained the group's chief, Maulana Masood Azhar, and also sealed some of his religious school. Enditem
