25 killed in central Zambia road accident

Xinhua, April 10, 2016 Adjust font size:

Twenty five people have died after a bus crashed with another vehicle in central Zambia's Kabwe town, police said on Saturday.

The accident happened when the bus driver attempted to avoid a stationary truck, but ended up being in another lane and collided with an oncoming mini bus, police spokesperson Charity Munganga Chanda said in a statement.

Chanda said the dead include 21 adults and four juveniles, and all the passengers in the minibus, including the driver, died on the spot.

The accident happens barely a few days after another bus accident killed six people in central Zambia's Kapiri Mposhi town. Endit
