The following are the highlights of Zambia's major media outlets on Saturday.
-- Zambian President Edgar Lungu has authorized the Ministry of Finance to amend a law to waive customs duty for goods imported by churches and other non-governmental organizations.
The Zambian leader said the law which was removed in 2009 was meant to help churches and non-governmental organizations to acquire goods such as motor vehicles for public benefit. (Zambia Daily Mail)
-- Zambia's President Edgar Lungu has pardoned another batch of prisoners under a law that allows him to pardon inmates.
Presidential spokesperson Amos Chanda said the Zambian leader has pardoned another 525 prisoners following the pardoning of 500 others on February 2 this year.
He said the prerogative of mercy was aimed at releasing prisoners with exemplary behavior as a way to reduce congestions in the country's prisons. (Times of Zambia)
-- A South African firm has shown interest in partnering with local authorities in Lusaka, the Zambian capital, to provide a free pilot Wi-Fi service to residents in the city.
