Nigeria FA vow to ensure qualifications for 2018 World Cup

Nigeria's soccer governing body on Thursday said they had resolved to work assiduously to ensure the country' s qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals in Russia.

The resolution was at the body' s meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung on April 5, Ademola Olajire, spokesperson for the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said in a statement reaching Xinhua.

Olajire said the meeting discussed important issues in Nigerian football and resolved that the Board, Management, Players and officials of the Super Eagles must work assiduously to ensure Nigeria' s qualification for the World Cup.

He added that the Committee received reports from the ad-hoc committees put in place to compose governance structures for the Nigeria National League, Nigeria Women Football League and Nationwide League One.

According to him, the meeting directed that all efforts must be made by the different leagues to start their seasons as soon as possible. Endit
