The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Thursday.

-- Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has said that Ethiopia and Algeria would cooperate in the fight against terrorism.

The premier made the remark on Tuesday while conferring in Ethiopia's capital Addis Ababa with Minister of Maghreb Affairs, African Union and Arab League Abdelkader Messahel. (Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation/EBC)

-- The House of People's Representatives (HPR) has ratified the draft bill which allows Ethiopia to join the African Trade Insurance Agency (ATIA).

Genet Taddese, Chairperson of HPR's Budget and Finance Affairs Standing Committee said joining ATIA enables to offer political and trade credit risk insurance services for investors as well as to attract foreign direct investment. (Fana Broadcasting Corporate/FBC)

-- The Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (MoLSA) is set to begin selection of agencies to commence overseas recruitment programs within the coming 2-3 months.
