Urgent: Nguyen Xuan Phuc elected Vietnamese Prime Minister

The Vietnamese parliament on Thursday elected Nguyen Xuan Phuc to become the country's new Prime Minister.

With voting result of 446 "yes" votes out of 490 valid ballots cast by the National Assembly (NA) deputies, Phuc was elected to be Vietnam's new cabinet chief at the ongoing 11th session of the 13th NA in capital Hanoi.

Phuc was elected to replace Nguyen Tan Dung, who was relieved from duty of Vietnamese Prime Minister on Wednesday afternoon. Enditem
