Chinese shares close mixed Wednesday

China's stocks closed mixed on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.08 percent to 3,050.59 points.

The smaller Shenzhen index edged up 0.41 percent to end at 10,683.86 points. The ChiNext Index, which tracks China's NASDAQ-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.77 percent to close at 2,297.04 points. Endi
