Abila brace helps Huracan see off Sporting Cristal

Xinhua, April 6, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two first-half goals from Ramon Abila helped Argentina's Huracan to a 4-2 victory over Peruvian outfit Sporting Cristal in their Copa Libertadores group match on Tuesday.

Uruguayan striker Santiago Silva gave the visitors an early lead before Albia struck twice in six minutes at the Tomas Duco stadium in Buenos Aires.

Horacio Calcaterra equalized on the stroke of halftime but Alejandro Gamarra regained the lead for Huracan and then Ezequiel Miralles put the result beyond doubt six minutes from time.

The result lifted Huracan to second their group, two points above third-placed Sporting. Colombia's Atletico Nacional lead the group with 12 points.

The Copa Libertadores is Latin America's premier club competition, played annually by clubs in South America and Mexico. Endi
