Xinhua, April 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vietnam is trying to bag more tickets to the Rio Olympics in 2016, according to the country's General Department of Sports and Physical Training on Tuesday.

For the purpose, Vietnam will send sport teams to train abroad for short and long terms, as swimming and gymnastics teams will go to the United States, while taekwondo and shooting teams will train in South Korea.

In April, Vietnam will participate in qualifiers of Rio Olympics, with teams of rowing, fencing, gymnastics, taekwondo, weightlifting and wrestling.

So far, Vietnam has had nine tickets to the Rio Olympics, including three in weightlifting, two in shooting, two in wrestling, one in swimming and one in athletics.

Earlier, Vietnam set a goal of winning 15 tickets to the Rio Games. Endi
