Internacional eye move for Uruguayan striker

Xinhua, April 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Brazil's Internacional are reportedly preparing an offer to sign former Roma and Udinese striker Nicolas Lopez.

The 22-year-old is currently on loan at Uruguay's Nacional from Udinense and has scored seven goals from six matches this year for the Montevideo club.

Internacional vice president Carlos Pellegrini has travelled to England to discuss a possible deal with Lopez's manager Giampaolo Pozzo, according to Brazil's Globoesporte news portal.

The Porto Alegre outfit are understood to have turned their interest to Lopez after failing in their bid to sign Colombian striker Teo Gutierrez from Sporting Lisbon.

Lopez joined Roma from Nacional in 2012 before signing with Udinese the following season. He had loan spells at Italy's Verona and Spain's Granada before returning to his original club in January. Endi
