Xinhua, April 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

The First Deputy Governor of Bank of Ghana, Millison Narh, has been named as acting governor of the central bank, pending the appointment of a governor.

It came after former governor Henry Kofi Wampah took an early retirement on Friday with four months left in his four-year term.

A chartered accountant by profession, Narch has worked with the central bank for 33 years. He rose to become the first deputy governor after Wampah in 2013. Endit
