Azarenka back to WTA top five

Xinhua, April 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Belarusian tennis player Victoria Azarenka is back to the WTA top five on Monday.

Azarenka, ranked 5th in the world, scooped her third Miami Open title by beating World No.19 Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia 6-3, 6-2 on Saturday.

It was Azarenka's third victory this year. In January she won the competitions in Australian Brisbane. Two weeks ago she lifted the Indian Wells trophy after beating world number one Serena Williams in the final.

The 26-year-old lost only once in 23 matches this season when she lost to Germany's Angelique Kerber 6-3, 7-5 in Australian Open quarter-finals.

She collected more rating points this season than she did during the whole previous one. Endit
