Indonesian foreign ministry said on Monday that it will assist the deportation of the country's football association chief, who has been named a suspect of graft.
Despite of no extradition treaty with Singapore, Indonesia could coordinate with the government of Singapore on the deportation of La Nyala Mattalittia, spokesman of Indonesian Foreign Ministry Arrmanatha Nasir told the media here.
La Nyala was named a suspect by the East Java Prosecutors Office on March 17 for allegedly misappropriating billions of rupiah funds in 2012, and he was also declared a fugitive as he fled the country on the day.
The suspect escaped to Malaysia before entering Singapore, according to the attorney general office. Endit
