Indian stocks close flat, log the best March in seven years

Indian stocks closed flat on Thursday as Standard & Poor's downgraded its outlook for China to negative from stable and the expiry of March series futures & options contracts weighed on investor sentiments.

The benchmark S&P BSE Sensex closed at 25,341.86, 3.28 points or 0.01 percent up from the previous close of 25,338.58, with a turnover of 532.95 crore rupees (about 80.3 million US dollars).

The 9.2 percent rally in March marks the best monthly performance in four years and the best March returns in seven years. Enditem
