"Batman v Superman" rules China's box office

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" beat all rivals to become China's box office champion in the week ending March 27, China Film News reported on Wednesday.

Pulling in a total of 372 million yuan (57.4 million U.S.dollars) since its debut on March 25, revenue for its first three days had already surpassed all over released films.

The animated Disney film "Zootopia" earned 176 million yuan during the week, which added up to its total grossing to 1.3 billion yuan since its release on March 4.

"The Revenant" came in third, raking in 123 million yuan.

Fourth place went to domestic romantic movie "The Rise of a Tomboy," which earned 25 million yuan. The film was released on March 18.

Rounding out the top five was Hollywood action adventure film "Gods of Egypt," grossing 18 million yuan. Endi
