Top Chinese political advisor highlights private sector, ethnic unity

Xinhua, March 30, 2016 Adjust font size:

Chinese top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng has called for efforts boosting development of private sector and ensuring ethnic unity.

Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks in the Korean Autonomous Prefecture of Yanbian and Changchun City in northeast China's Jilin Province between March 28 and 30.

Yu toured production lines in two food factories and met with entrepreneurs, listening to their advice.

The government should fully implement policies and measures designed to foster growth of private sector, and focus on tackling problems faced by the enterprises in development, Yu said.

Yu urged the government to create a favorable environment for the non-public sector, and called for honest, sincere and clean contact between officials and business people.

During his visit to Yanbian, Yu saw a community, a hospital, a village and schools. He stressed importance of ethnic unity as well as continued efforts on providing better public services in education, healthcare, eldercare and poverty relief in ethnic minority regions. Endi
