1st LD: Vietnamese parliament chief relieved from duty

Nguyen Sinh Hung, chairman of Vietnam's National Assembly (NA) and chairman of the National Election Council, was relieved from duty on Wednesday at the ongoing 11th session of the 13th NA in Vietnam's capital Hanoi.

Hung was relieved from duty of NA chairman by NA deputies with 431"yes"votes out of 473 valid votes. Meanwhile, his relief from duty of the National Election Council chairman was made with 430"for"votes and 41 "against"votes.

A resolution on relieving Hung from duties of two positions was adopted by the NA on Wednesday afternoon. Endit
