Regasa, Kiprono win Zhengkai Marathon in China

Bejiga Regasa from Ethiopia won the men's title of the Zhengkai International Marathon in 2 hours 11 minutes and 23 seconds in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, on Sunday.

"The road and whether are very fit for running and I'm happy to win," said Regasa, who pocketed 20,000 US dollars in prize money.

Ndiso Dennis Musembi (2:11:24) and Lilan Kennedy Kiproo (2:11:42), both from Kenya, came in second and third respectively.

Leah Jebet Kiprono from Kenya took the women's title in 2:27:40, and Chinese runner Geng Shaoqin won the second place in 2:32:35.

Zhengkai Marathon was inaugurated in 2006 and attracted 49,000 runner from home and abroad this year. Endi
