The following are highlights of South African major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Nigeria's parliament has launched a probe into whether the telecoms regulator can reduce a fine slapped on MTN for missing a deadline to disconnect unregistered SIM card users.

The move might complicate efforts by Africa's biggest cell phone operator to reduce the fine, which had originally amounted to $5.2bn. (Business Day)

-- President Jacob Zuma will visit Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) starting on Sunday, the Presidency announced on Friday.

According to the statement, Zuma will visit Saudi Arabia on Sunday and then head to the UAE on Monday on a visit that is intended to boost bilateral ties between the two countries as well as business ties.(Independent Saturday). Enditem
