9 killed in helicopter crash in Iran

Nine people were killed in a rescue helicopter crash in southern Iran on Friday, local media reported.

The helicopter belonged to a hospital in Iran's Fars province and crashed on its way back to the hospital after a rescue operation, semi-official ISNA news agency reported.

All the crew, medical technicians and the patient on board were killed, according to the report.

The cause of the accident is under investigation, Mojtaba Khaledi, the spokesman of Iran's Emergency Center, was quoted as saying. Endit
