Roadside bomb kills Lebanese soldier, injures 3

A Lebanese soldier was killed and three others injured on Thursday in a roadside bomb attack that targeted a military patrol on the outskirts of the northeastern border town of Arsal, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

The incident took place near the town of Arsal close to the Syrian border, the report said, adding the army shelled positions of militants on the Arsal outskirts after the attack.

The outskirts of Arsal and other towns bordering Syria have been witnessing sporadic clashes between the army and the jihadists. Endit
