Sino-UK sandbox exercise on evacuation of nationals held in China

Xinhua, March 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

China and UK military delegates on Wednesday held a simulation exercise on the evacuation of foreign nationals, the first time in Chinese military history that an exercise such as this has been run with foreign partners.

The simulation was in a third party country where there had been a large scale of casualties due to armed conflicts between government troops and anti-government forces, and foreign nationals were endangered by terrorist attack.

A total of 26 delegates from China and Britain also carried out discussions on nine subjects including international evacuation policies and practical operation methods.

The simulation exercise is beneficial to bilateral cooperation in the field of non-traditional security issues, said Lu Ming, head of the Chinese delegation. Endi
