UAE condemns Brussels attacks, issues travel warning

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Tuesday condemned the bombing attacks against Brussels Airport and the metro station, and issued a travel warning to Brussels, reported WAM, the Emirati state news agency.

The UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation condemned the "terrorist attacks in Brussels, which claimed the lives of innocent civilians and injured several others."

The ministry added that Emiratis living in Belgium were safe, however it warned Emiratis in Belgium to exercise extreme caution and avoid public transportation.

Dr. Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, reiterated the UAE's decisive stance, rejecting all forms of violence and indiscriminate terrorism targeting any race or religion.

Dr. Gargash also emphasized the UAE's unified stance with the Belgian government and people.

The UAE's standpoint is the outcome of its solid position which rejects all forms and manifestations of terrorism, irrespective of motive or justification, wherever, whenever and by whomever it is committed.

In addition, he called for concerted efforts from the global community in order to strive to eradicate all forms of terrorism.

Dr. Gargash expressed and conveyed the UAE's condolences to the Belgian government and people, wishing those injured a speedy recovery. Endit
