The death toll has risen to 34 in the deadly blasts in Brussels on Tuesday morning, according to the latest figures.

The number of people killed in the Brussels subway train explosion on Tuesday now stands at 20, with another 106 passengers injured, the city's mayor Yvan Mayeur told a press conference. (Belgium-Blasts)

PARIS -- About 1,600 more police personnel and gendarmes are deployed across France to reinforce security after Brussels attacks, French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve announced Tuesday.

After an emergency security meeting headed by French President Francois Hollande, Cazeneuve said "instructions have been given to all prefectures, demanding them to take all necessary measures to ensure securities in train stations, public transports, airports and ports". ABUJA -- Government forces in Nigeria have killed 58 Boko Haram fighters in the latest military operation in the country, spokesman of the Nigerian Army Sani Usman said on Tuesday.

Two hand grenades, 52 motorcycles, several bags of foodstuff were also recovered during the operation carried out by troops in Nigeria's northeast Borno State late Monday, said Usman, adding that the military also lost a soldier in the gunfight. (Nigeria-Security)

BAMAKO -- One terrorist was killed and two suspects arrested on Monday by Malian police who intervened after a terrorist attack against a hotel in Bamako, Mali's Internal Security Minister Col.Maj. Salif Traore said.
