Iceland's wage index records 3.5 pct increase in February

Iceland's wage index posted a month-on-month increase of 3.5 percent in February, according to figures released by Statistics Iceland on Tuesday.
The figures showed that the wage index in February was 564, an increase of 3.5 percent compared with 545 in January. The index takes the wage in December 1988 as base number of 100.
In the past 12 months, the monthly wage index has increased by 12.6 percent.
The real wage index in February was 134.2, an increase of 2.8 percent compared with that of the previous month.
In the past 12 months, the real wage has increased by 10.2 percent. Endit
