1st LD: Myanmar parliament announces nominees of cabinet members

Myanmar's Union Parliament on Tuesday announced 18 nominees of ministers including Aung San Suu Kyi submitted by President-elect U Htin Kyaw to run 21 new government ministries.

In addition to Aung San Suu Kyi, the 17 other nominees are Dr. Aung Thu, U Thant Zin Maung, Thura U Aung Ko, U Ohn Win, U Thein Swe, U Kyaw Win, U Khin Maung Cho, Dr. Myint Htway, U Win Khaing, Dr. Win Myat Aye,U Ohn Maung, Dr. Than Myint, Nai Thet Lwin, Dr. Pe Myint, Lieutenant-Genernal Sein Win, Lieutenant-General Kyaw Swe and Lieutenant-General Ye Aung.

The parliament is scheduled to continue the nomination process for respective ministries on Thursday if there is no objection from the MPs for the nominees until 1 p.m. Wednesday, the deadline. Endit
